From outside, this place looks so ligit and authentic like some restaurant which will serve a quality food. But the actual food is not up to its expectations. If you think their 海南鸡饭 chicken rice is good, you know nothing about what it really tastes like. Similarly their other Chinese dishes are not worth the money. This place is merely cozy but that is all unfortunately.

Good atmosphere. Excellent staff and service. My friend loved her chicken rice. The pork belly with coffee sauce was terrible and I felt nauseous after eating it. At night the lighting is dimmed to set a mood but that makes it difficult to read the menu.

With 2 Singaporean restaurants in walking vicinity of each other, both have their work cut out for them. Having now tasted and sampled both of their menus extensively, my recommendation is to come here for their Hainanese Chicken Rice and nothing else. Love their unlimited oil rice and soup refills, the servings of chicken breast only sliced and deboned is a great way to enjoy this staple and important dish loved by Singaporeans. If you are coming at night for dinner, I highly recommend reservations so you will not be disappointed. Also pay close attention to their lunchtime hours as it can get busy with short wait times.
