Boss

Cane for dinner at 7pm on a Thursday night and place was empty. We were seated at the counter - felt slightly awkward as there was so many staff standing in front doing nothing. The gyoza, potato salad, fried ride were all pretty good. We also ordered the fruit tomato for 560 yen but all it was 1 small tomato cut into 5 pieces. Was pretty poor and wouldn't recommend. The design of the shop is pretty cool Overall average

This is the best gyoza ive had period. Tried several places in Japan. Highly recommend anything on the menu. Sashimi is excellent as well and better than alot of seafood/ sushi restaurants. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They were packed and initially said they were full but they made room for us at the bar. Reservations are recommended during dinner times. It is about a 15min hike from hakata station. The plates are like tapas style. I guess its more for snacks while drinking but we came to eat. They are very fast with the food as well. I would place this as one of the top 5 places I've ate in Japan.

Delicious bite sized gyoza with lots of crust around them, served in the cast iron pan they were cooked in. Friendly, stylish atmosphere and cheap. Must visit if you crave a serving of gyoza while being in Fukuoka.
