It was all related to the pandemic. The beer had an iron taste to it. I would go back to Hakodate beer hall when it's a little more busy

Ordered beer, sausage plater, salmon sashimi, the clams (awesome simple dish, you taste the flavours of the dish) and more beer dishes to share... awesome staff and ambiance. Great place to hang out and just chill for the evenings. Had the local red beer which goes well with the food. Will definitely come back here again.

Definately has a more western or European vibe as it is a beer hall - staff are courteous and very polite. A lot of food options such as steak, sausages, sashimi, or even nabe! I ordered the premium Hokkaido steak - came on a hot plate over a bed of cabbage, with a side of rice and their in house brewed premium beer. Steak was delicious! Extremely flavourful, tender with the right amount of texture, cooked just right considering how thin the Japanese style steak was. The cabbage was sweet and like the steak it was seasoned just right. The beer - it was good, light but very pallettable. Not a bad place to go if looking for some beer, pub food or something less traditionally Japanese.

The portion is smaller as displayed. However, the environment is nice. The service is good and the waiters are attentive. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Awesome place with great decor and delicious garlic bread. The 200 gram Hokkaido beef was soft and delicious for 3200. The beef salad for 1080 was not as good though because it was too chewy. The service was okay. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely come again.

Hakodate beer hall is a repurposed warehouse turned into a stunning beer hall. The layout of the restaurant is great for large groups of people to small settings. The food is decent at a reasonable price, with a wide selection you will have no trouble finding something for everyone. The drink selection is really good. Prices are not to bad for what you get unless you get the beers. The beers are great, amazing flavour, cold and cheap as. The hakodate beer hall lives up to its name.
