Beautifully preserved house that is linked to the interesting life of Hayashi Fumiko - a famous Japanese author from last century. The house has a modern and relaxed atmosphere with an amazing Japanese design that still feels really contemporary. Peaceful gardens in a nice part of Tokyo - was great to experience this area.

Small but utterly beautiful house and garden. We spent a while just sitting in the garden admiring the early spring flowers and building. It was very cheap to get in as well. If you're in the area and appreciate either her work of Japanese architecture and gardens then I think it's definitely worth a look.
Passing by there. Looks great from outside. Plan to go there 1 day. Entrance fee 150 yen only
interesting exhibits and beautiful landscape & architecture of Japanese style. video in a room shows great her life and real voice. nice selection of books related to her and written by her. inexpensive entry fee, why don't you go!
Very unique visit for readers and fans of Japanese literature. There are some signs in English, but probably would make better sense to come in with at least medium knowledge of Japanese language, to fully appreciate documents and video showings.
