Really nice surroundings for a short hike. The museum was closed for maintenance

Surprisingly interesting. There is a model classroom and world war 2 bunker. Great look out tower. Free parking.

Tranquil and cosy place, worth paying a visit if you happened to be around. No crowds of people and nice surroundings around the museum. If you have time, consider spending some time on the paths of the surrounding park. Make sure you go up into tower, you will see the entire Saitama area from there. There is a big selection of brochures with events and locations to be visited around next to the front desk.

Seems big, huge parking, new building facilities, unfortunately closed over the year end holidays and could not go in. This is near Hatoyama New Town and just next to Ishizaka Country Club golf course, really beautiful forest area, cycling course area. Warning signs for poisonous snakes (mamushi vipers) but they must be hibernating now.
