Ishikawa brewery is one of the most famous sake breweries in the area. I chose one of their brewery tours which focused on their sake for 700yen. The guide was so good at explaining about sake procedures. At the end of the tour, we were able to try 4types of their sake, which came with a little sake glass as a present. I highly recommend for those who love sake! English tours are also available.

1. Arrive. 2. Order the tasting sets and some snacks at the cafe. 3. Buy what you liked at the cellar door shop. 4. Enjoy. It's that simple. The website makes things way too complicated with all the tours and guidance on offer. Just get there and it'll fall into place. They could make serious bank if they streamlined the process and sold bottles at the cafe so you could buy after tasting, but ah, what's Japan without arbitrary demarcations?

The food was ok and the place is good. It took is less than 30mins to take pictures and go around the place. Beer was ok as well.

Very friendly tour guide with great English! The tour was very informative on the Sake brewing process as well as the history of their brewery. The Sake chosen for the tasting is very good! Definitely recommend this tour and brewery!

The grounds are immaculate with much Japanese tradition. The lunch was very good Italian (uni tomato cream linguini). The tour in English was scripted and only went to the fermenting staging area. Unless asked for specific details would not know they cool the fermenting process like wine, etc. They only tasted their less expensive wins (OK) but would not taste the more expensive higher quality.
