I visit the shop at Kappabashi every time I am in Tokyo. Sinxe we can’t travel due to covid , I have been shipping the stuff over. Just email your order and the shop assistant will clarify the required and items will be shipped once payment is made. Most of the equipments in my kitchen are from Kama asa - knives, pots , pans and steaming baskets. Good kitchen equipments makes cooking way more enjoyable.

My mother boasted about her Hinoki steamer and suggested I get one for myself. I could not find anything from Amazon and decided to google. Found Kama Asa's website and was connected with Mayuko-san. Mayuko-san was very quick to respond, thorough with explaining the products they carried, and made the whole ordering process very fun and easy. I love the smell given off from the steamer and the product is highest of qualities.

Great place for knife shopping. Jerry (French sales person speaks fluent English and Japanese) helped me. Was very patient in showing the knives. Also ordered one which was not in stock. He also showed me how to sharpen the knives. Only downside was - not enough traditional Japanese (carbon steel) knives in mid-range. I had to go to another store for that. Overall great experience.
