First of all, it’s good that this restaurant provides English menu for the foreigners. I really enjoyed the set menu of snow crab, including fresh crab sashimi, deep fried crab leg, steamed crab leg, crab hot pot, crab sushi, tofu with crab toppings, and many more! I also love the interior design of the restaurant. The staff is very polite and professional.

This was the best meal we had in Hokkaido. the quiet but elegant environment setting, staff's detailed services and excellent food... All positive! The porridge cooked from the hotpot soup was amazing. Even the fruit at the end of the meal was great! I have already recommended my friends who were going Hokkaido and will continue to do so. Must go!

The atmosphere was a mix of ceremonial and warm. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. We highly recommend the crab croquettes to top of any meal. As expected, someway pricey but not as highly priced as some.

Today we had a crab feast at 札幌かに家本店. Ambience is great with the traditional decor and sound of the water running around the restaurant. The crab was prepared in 6 ways, 1. Sashimi 2. Cold dish 3. Hot pot 4. Grilled 5. Nigiri sushi 6. Tempura Both of us love 3 to 6 but don't really like 1 and 2 because it was bland. The crab is definitely fresh and delicious. We got a great deal on Klook and we could recommend this restaurant!! :) The service was good. We made a reservation prior and we were quickly brought to our seats and being served with our meals. The food was nice and we were satisfied with the crab meal :)

For those who cannot pronounce the Japanese characters, the name is kani-ya. Great interior. The usual good Japanese service. Very nice presentation. We ordered a set each with 10 courses for different ways of crab: shabu shabu; meat ball; shaomai; sashimi; steamed; etc; and one even came in a gratin. A fabulous experience. I have had better crab, but not this level of nice presentation and variations. A must for a complete Sapporo experience.
