What a great experience to drive your own dog sled team! At Mushing Works Sled Dog Tours they let you do the driving yourself. Take a short tutorial and it’s of you go on your dog sledding adventure!

What a great experience !!! Thanks to Takeshi, his wife and their daughter, they made our sledge dog experience unforgettable. He took the time to explain his kennel and we spend quality time with the dogs and new born puppies. Riding your own sledge is once in a lifetime adventure, that I will recommend to anyone. We hope to have the chance to go back and ride with the new dogs generation.

This was an awesome experience! Myself and girlfriend had and excellent time and it was well worth the travel to and from the location. We got a train from Sapporo (2 hours Super Nazari) and a taxi to location. It was a very smooth journey and you get to experience the country side. As always, it would be awesome to travel by car and experience all the surroundings and stop at many cool places along the way if you are comfortable driving through snow. The experience went very well, all the dogs were very friend. Dog are eager to go. You can drive the sled yourself after owner feels that you are confident with it (he will ride with you at first to make sure) after that you can do it all yourself. Takeshi (owner) takes very good pictures of the entire experience with his own camera. I brought a GoPro with me but the pictures and video Takeshi took were a lot better than what I could have imagined. Do bring your own equipment if you decide to do this experience but also be sure that you will walk away with great footage taken by the owner. You get the chance to play with dogs after the ride is over. We had great time with all the dogs. All the dogs were friendly, even if a bit vocal. You can walk up and pat them with no fear. I would definitely like to go back and do it all over again. It was an experience of a life time :) The town Shintoku has some food places that you can eat at after your experience and the train station has some great local produce that you can take home as a souvenir. I bought a bottle of great shochu that is rather tasty :) Thank you Takeshi!

素晴らしい十勝の自然の中での犬ぞり体験は一生忘れられない思い出となりました。12kmのコースは十分楽しめました。特に走り出しのスピード感はすごい！ワンちゃん達も愛情たっぷりで育っているようで人懐っこくて愛くるしかったです。大人も十分楽しめるアクティビティです。 We had fun and enjoyed the amazing experience of dog sledding. The dogs were adorable and the nature was stunning! I strongly recommend the activity here:)

犬ゾリ初体験を楽しみにしてましたが、雪不足で前日までヒヤヒヤ。 色々と準備していただき、めちゃくちゃ楽しませてもらいました。 60過ぎのおじさん、おばさんでも楽しかったので、お子さんならなおのこと喜ばれると思います。ぜひ体験してみて下さい。 例年なら予約がとりにくいようですが、今年はコロナでキャンセルが相次ぎ、かなり空きがあるそうですので、ある意味チャンスかも。 ウェア、ブーツは貸してもらえますが、私達はスキーウェア上下を着ていき、寒くなかったです。ブーツのみ借りました。 走ると雪煙が飛んでくるので、フェイスマスクかネックウォーマーは付けた方が良いです。 2人乗りの舵取で立つ人は、走行中にブーツが雪で埋もれますので、足先が冷たくなります。私は普通のソックス、スキーソックスを重ねていても、かなり冷たくなりました。3枚重ねでも良いかも。 転倒時の怪我防止のため、スキーヘルメットをつけてしましたが、寒さ防止にもなりました。 ヘルメットに付けていた4Kカメラでビデオを写したつもりが、スイッチがしっかり押せてなくて、超ショックでしたが、走行中の写真は写してもらっており、スマホに送ってもらえました。
