Amami Onsen Nanten-en Reviews | Rating 3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Amami Onsen Nanten-en is rated 3 out of 5 in the category hospitality. Read and write reviews about Amami Onsen Nanten-en. A traditional ryokan in the quiet village of Amami, southern Osaka. The main building is a registered cultural asset of Japan, having been designed by famous architect Kingo Tatsuno. The guest rooms are all traditional Japanese style, featuring tatami floors, screen doors and Tokonoma alcoves to contain hanging scrolls and flowers. There are 13 rooms within the main building, all with access to our public, natural hot springs which are rich in radium, promoting several health benefits. There is a further guest room in a separate annex which has a private, outdoor bath overlooking the Amami River. The ryokan is surrounded by a large Japanese garden and situated within a historic but little known village, right on the border with Wakayama Prefecture and on the direct railway line to Mount Koya. The owner of Nanten-en is an Omotesenke Tea Ceremony master and Ikebana master and we regularly hold cultural classes with out guests, translated by one of our English speaking staff members.
