This temple is little far from the kawagoe station or kawagoe main shopping area. But you can reach there by using loop line bus. This bus is free if you have tobu-kawagoe discount pass. The bus service is more frequent in weekends. In this shirne there are 500 statues. Very peaceful and nice place to visit. Durinh new years holiday the shrine seems to be very busy.

My favorite temple in and around kawagoe! Give the little museum a try! It’s only a few hundred yen and super beautiful!
I had read so much about this place, especially about the 500 statues of Buddha disciples also locally known as gohyaku rakanthat I was really looking forward to it. However I was terribly disappointed after reaching the place. The statues are not well maintained, look very old and many of them broken. Visit the shrine only if you are in that area, not worth going out of your way to see the place.
A place full of history . Visiting the back inner garden and a small exibition are a must.
It was a good place I think a little far from train station so that why the people there are not too much
