I went there to watch Kawasaki's games. It gets pretty crowded even on Friday evenings. To my surprise, AFC champions league game was not as well received as J-leauge or even Japan's cup games. The atmosphere is definitely nice, lots of fans who are friendly and come to enjoy watching the game. I don't really recommend free seating because it's usually for families or large groups who come super early to get a good spot for watching the game. If you buy a free seating you should either go super early or expect watching the entire game standing if the view is important for you.
