small airport offering relatively cheap flights to Korea. There is a hourly bus connection from Kusami train station. The airport itself is organized well but not used by many foreigners (except Koreans) so the airport staff might be overwhelmed if you have some questions or special needs.

A small international airport on an island outside of Kita-Kyushu. There is no direct train service, but you can take a bus here from the nearest train station. Be sure to try out the free roof-top foot spa!
KitaKyuShu airport is a smaller airport. Only 3 lines to pass through immigration / custom....took 30-40 minutes to pass by today. People are friendly to tourists, just like any major city in Japan.

Small airport and taxiing area on the sea..However, I love this airport.
아주 작은 로컬공항이나 3년 전부터 에어서울의 직항이 개설되어 국제공항역할을 수행하고 있는 키타큐슈공항. 인공섬으로 조성된 곳으로 고쿠라 접근성이 매우 용이하다. 국제선 탑승권 소지자에게 무료로 족욕을 할 수 있게 하여 여행으로 지친 다리와 몸의 피로를 풀 수 있게 해줘 아주 좋았다. 이륙 후 한 눈에 공항을 볼 수 있다는 것도 아주 이색적인데 영어로 기타큐슈공항이라고 써 있어 재미있었다.
埋立地なので空港まで向かう橋を渡らなくてはいけないのですがそれがものすごく絶景で、夜とかに走るとまるで天に向かってるような気持ちになります。 松本零士さんの地元だと言うこともあって出来た当時はインフォメーションにメーテルが座ってましたが今は居なくなってますね。 マンホールに綺麗なメーテルの絵が描いてあります。 今はコロナの関係で足湯が停止中です。 ちょっと閑散として寂しいですが早く日常が取り戻せることを祈ってます。
