Athena Bounti

Cosy tiny restaurant with lots of different katsu options. Perfect for a quick bite. The cook was polite and you can see him picking all the small bites (mushroom, onion, fish, chicken, beef etc.) dipping them in the batter and frying them. We had the 10 pieces sample which was great and also tried the Donyaki skewers which are something different and interesting. Maybe not for all tastes but worth trying it! You can also smoke if you like but the doors are open so it didn’t smell.

A cozy Japanese pub with deep fried food. It's a great place to grab a beer. It has very few seats and had the common "seat charge" which is per person so for larger groups can be inconvenient. The staff is cool and talkative, the food is nice. The pricing is on a higher end but it's a pub in the centre of the busiest street - so makes sense.

After visiting a couple of years ago and having a great experience, I was really disappointed that last night my friends and I were overcharged by over 3000 yen (my calculations were based on included tax and the stated sitting fee, so those shouldn’t account for the bill shock we had when our check arrived). We had some communication challenges and needed to leave, and my translation app wasn’t working on the receipt, so it wasn’t sorted out in the end, but I’m very disappointed in that outcome. Not cool at all.
