Hard to describe this place as a retail store. Feels more like a fulfilment center for their online store...which is really robust. The physical store itself is pretty small and the goods feel almost randomly spread about. All of this said...if you have visited their website and know what you kinda want...drop in to get some advice from the in-store staff. Mr Okamura was super helpful (a reasonable English ability!) with my decision on an telescope imaging camera. This place is also pretty easy to find...about a 10min walk from Akihabara station.

It's an amazing store, highly specialised in telescopes. They have from simple models to really professional ones, but all of them, even the simplest ones, are very high quality and an excellent investment if you enjoy gazing at the sky and studying the stars, planets and galaxies. The staff is very friendly, helpful and kind of used to dealing with foreigners, so if you ever need anything related to telescopes, it's the right place for you to go.

The KYOEI Tokyo Shop is a small but a great place. The master, Shinobu-san, is an avid astronomer and astrophotographer. With a 25 years background, his expert explanations to your questions will be wrappd in Love for astronomy, always eager to find a solution for a specific problem over a coffee with you. Simply everything is nice about this place in inner space.
Good place for optical related products.
確かにそっけない接客ですが、あまり近づいてこないので気持ち的に楽に感じていました。
品揃えは良いのですが、年配の店員の接客が最悪。ちょっと会話をしただけで買い物をする気が失せ、速攻で末広町へ向かいました。
店員の方はとても詳しそうなのですが 同店の通販と違って品揃えはイマイチですね。 店頭で天体望遠鏡の実物を見ても、見る対象がないので意味がない気はしますが 通販のイメージで行ってしまったので、部品類の展示も少なく肩透かしを受けました。 輸入双眼鏡については、スワロ、ライカ、ツァイスと天井されていますが 狭い一階の店舗では、覗いてみようにも見る対象がありません。 他店ですと、店舗の窓から外を見る事が出来たりして覗いて比較が出来ますが ここじゃそういう比べかたは出来ない様です。
