Miyako Odori was excellent on this stage!!! It was beautifully done. We loved the gorgeous, spacious theater. Of course you aren't allowed to take photos during the performance, but we took a few of the theatre itself.

A really popular place with tourists and locals alike. It is cozy and welcoming and looks absolutely beautiful! Lots of shows playing here throughout the year. Will definitely come back again if possible.

Wow. A beautiful theater. Easy to get to by bus or just 15 min by taxi from Kyoto station and saw a wonderful performance ofthe famous manga series Naruto in new Kabuki form

This is the grand live performance theater just like the Broadway- the Japanese style of course. . worth a visit if u enjoy live show. The geisha dance , similar to Opera /ballet is a bit too slow for me..

This theater is fantastic. They offered audio boxes that provide english narration, though I chose to not rent one. The inside was built so well. Three floors of seating, reasonable price points for the different selections. It seems to be able to accomadate many different sets and productions, with the third act of my Kabuki show having a working waterfall on stage. They also have handicap access and concessions. Smokimg rooms and bathrooms on each floor it seems. My only gripe was leg room but it wasn't built with me in mind so I understand.
