Definitely worth five stars in Tokyo. Great sauces and ingredients, large portions with good ratio of vegetables (which is kind of rare), and way above average taste. Not the best Singaporean/Malaysian I’ve had but I’m already surprised... chicken’s got that tender skin, rice and pho noodles taste just like what you would get in southeast Asian countries, and their sauces are superb. Will come again.
Was kinda hesitate to come here because of the restaurant is situated right in the middle of night entertainment area. But I have heard good reviews from other fellow Malaysians, so I had to come here to give it a try. When I saw the menu, I didn't even hesitate and straight away went for the prawn mee, except I asked to swap for bihun. Hubby ordered for Singaporean fried bihun. We were served with some otoshi while drinking. The otoshi were prawn crackers and roasted peanuts with ikan bilis. It was not a bad start however the food took a bit long. The prawn bihun came in a big bowl and some generous portion of sambal on the side. Being typical Malaysian, I just dolloped all the sambal in the soup and started to savour. My oh my, the soup just hits the right note, brimming with prawn flavour and with a tinge of sweetness. Topped with some kangkung, plenty of taugeh, prawns and two halves of boiled egg. I'd say it's probably missing some fried shallot and fishcake, and it could be a bit more spicy. But I wasn't gonna complain, the broth itself had me slurping with joy. Hubby's SG fried bihun was another hit. I don't intend to claim as SG fried bihun spokesperson. But there are way too many versions outside of SG & MY that didn't do justice to this dish, either adding too much curry powder or too ketchupy. I was glad that this is not the case, which is just a simple fried bihun with 'wok hei' that's not soggy at all. It came with some chopped red chili, minced garlic and sambal as side condiments. Hubby just added each condiment one by one to enjoy the gradual change of taste, and finally tossed everything together for the symphony of all taste. Both of us were satisfied with the taste and portion. I am glad we found this place, and look forward to trying other dishes.
ボリューム満点のセットメニューが充実です。KLの中国系マレーシア人のおばちゃんが腕を奮っており、ハラルではありません。ペナン式ホッケンミーのある都内では貴重なお店。味はペナン通の私にとってはまあまあ許せるレベルかな。シンガポール人は絶賛してたけどね。 カリーラクサはKL式なので、シンガポールやペナンのラクサとは違い、完全にただのカリーミーです。チキンライスはイポー式で醤油ダレがしっかりかかっているタイプ。チキンはツルツルではないが、ライスは美味しく炊けていた。 でもここでのイチオシはスナックのシューパオ、甘いチャーシュー餡が入ったパイです。本格的な懐かしい味で後を引く美味しさでした。ただいつもあるわけではないみたい。
雰囲気とかまぁまぁ良いと思う。 ナシゴレンセットを頼んだ。 最初は値段や店の雰囲気やコロナ禍のなか頑張ってという応援したい気持ちで星4以上を付けようかなって思っていたのだが、食べていたら頼んだ覚えのないフォーを出されてナシゴレン＆フォーのセットになっていた。もちろん値段もそっちだった。他にお客が居ればそっちと間違えたのかなって指摘するが、お客がいなかったのでそれはないなと。結局指摘して捨てられても勿体ないから何も言わずに頂いたが、どっちにしろ減点要素ではある。 注文時に言葉だけでなくメニューを指で指したので、日本語云々で間違えるなんてありえないと思う。 ナシゴレンは日本米？ぽかった。少しベッちゃりしていた。そこも残念。 全く満足できなかった。
職場のインドネシア人の方よりオススメされてから、美味しさにハマリ通っています。 こちらの鶏肉フォーを食べてから、ハマリ、仕事後や無性に食べたくなると、お店に足が向かっています。 女性では全品少し量が多く感じますが、男性には味も量も美味しさに大満足頂けると思います 。 特に食後のシューパオはオススメで、中に甘いチャーシュー餡が入っており、こちらもハマっている一品です。帰宅してから、また食べたくなるので、いつも2個お持ち帰りにして頂いています。 店主マレーシア人マコさん１人で注文からキッチンをされている事が多く、注文から提供まで少し時間が掛かりますが、そこは愛嬌…気長にお待ち頂けると嬉しいです。 オーダースタッフが居る時もありますが、少々日本語理解が厳しい時もあるので、そこも愛嬌…オーダーミスに繋がらないよう、再度店主マコさんを呼び、確認された方が良いと思います。
