The owner is very nice. They provided really nice breakfast and were not stingy with the portioning. We booked dinner there twice and they were better meals we had in hakuba over the 6 nights we stayed. The only minor complaint is the thin walls between rooms, we had a couple of rowdy kids in the room next to us who slept pretty late.

We were a group of 22 pax, owner is very clean but too rigid. Common area was closed at 830pm, hot water showers are only available from 4-9pm, no extra towels to be given, u get a new one based on a 1:1 exchange (u return the old one to her first), breakfast are prepared at 730am, if you wish to sleep a little later, u get cold food. There were a lot of bugs (one found in the bed I woke up to, maybe because the lodge is in the woods), quiet and peaceful though. If u are traveling in big group, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
nice warm and cozy place to stay during winter, and the lost sanae-san are very friendly (even though she can't speak english well but u still can understand what she trying to express) she can get u cheap lift ticket and snowboarding/ski gear rental too
Very nice owner who makes sure you know everything you could possibly want to know about the area and things to do. Has discounted rates to Happo-one, several onsens in the area (400-600), recommends good restaurants. Has 24/7 communal free tea and coffee. Didn't try the dinner but the breakfast was delicious and filling, usually fresh baked bread, some type of egg, some type of pork, salad and fruit with coffee or tea. Place is spotlessly clean. Value and location (7 minute walk to Adam Gondola) alone make it a great place but the owner really goes above and beyond. A really great find and a really great spot to stay.

1週間くらい泊まりました。朝食は3日後キャンセルして食べなかったです。美味しかったですが2日くらいで十分です。お部屋は広いしお風呂も良いですが、女のオーナーさんが結局苦手でした。自分が余裕がある時間だけ優しい。それ以外の時はお声かけない方が良いですね。お客さんとして白馬やロッジの色んなことで質問があっても余裕は無いから後で質問してくださいって言われて夕食の後9時くらい声をかけましたら、“なんでこんなに遅い時間ですか。明日の朝9時や14時くらいにお願いします”って怒られました。白馬スキー場は大体朝8時からスキーしに出かけて、16時くらいまですべりに白馬まで来ますが、スキーしないでロッジのオーナーさんに質問するためにその時間に戻らないと？！最悪でした。 *八方スキー場のゴンドラまでは徒歩15分くらいです。
