I have been training now at Magagym for a little more then 2 months, I was looking for a gym where I could get Motivated back into training. They have a wide variety of classes at different fitness levels and the instructor are very professional and helpful.

I’ve been learning & practicing Krav maga at MagaGym almost 2 & half years since I came to Japan. I’m fully satisfied with everything of MagaGym including skills of instructors and training systems. MagaGym has many good & skilled instructors including professional Kickboxing and MMA fighters(three of them are champions) and ex-special force of Israel. There are many kinds of training programs, not only programs for self defense and fighting like TRX, Core and Cardio in MagaGym. I have some years of military experience. I can’t say that it’s same training as the military but it’s fully enough for ordinary people. If you want to learn military style of Krav Maga or martial arts, join any kind of military. Ha ha. I’m 100% sure that you can learn and practice Krav Maga safely and fun with the best instructors in Japan and nice people who want to be strong like you. I’m truly thankful for everyone I meet and met MagaGym. Because of them and Krav maga, I can enjoy my new life here in Japan. If you wanna be strong, don’t stay at home. Go to any gym and practice or workout hard! I strongly recommend MagaGym to those who wanna be strong physically and mentally.
I loved this place until I got injured here three times. The first time I rolled my ankle and needed rehabilitation for 5 months. The second time I dislocated my wrist. When I told the receptionist my wrist hurt, he said, "Lots of people say that their wrist hurts after class." I had to wear a cast for 2 months. 1 year later I still receive treatment for my wrist injury. No one at the gym apologized or checked on how I was doing. The third time was when a lady who had no idea what she was doing was practicing elbows with me. She elbowed me in the face on accident. There was blood to say the least. The worst part is that this all could've been prevented if they'd been more careful in explaining how to do the moves safely. Just don't do it. Go anywhere else.
Thought I’d try Krav Maga while in Tokyo for a year. Did about 10 months here mostly stuck around for sparring (Have a background in MT) most of the instructors weren’t good. A couple of them were good because they have a foundation in MMA or Muay Thai but it’s mostly just a woman’s fitness gym. They’ll complain when students don’t know a technique when they haven’t taught it yet, no progression system and if you join a sparring class you’ll see terrible boxing which is a result of no trainer feedback at all. Look elsewhere if you want to learn actual Krav Maga.
Fun and easy access. For the place (Roppongi) it's an affordable price.
Took a trial class and felt pretty cramped. Seems like it's popular, but if you want enough space to really move without worrying about crashing into someone else, this isn't the right fit for you. I know it wasn't for me.
Took 5 classes and did the same thing in every class. Same choke defense was taught every time I went. If you want to practice real Krav Maga, don't come here. If you want a fitness class with a little watered down Krav Maga sprinkled in, this is the place for you. Fee system is also a scam. McDojo hustling for money. NOT a real Krav Maga system.
Great place to train
