On the 7th and 8th floors of the department store LABI (previously Tenmaya), you'll find 丸善 Maruzen, a large bookstore with a quaint atmosphere. Nearly every time I visit Hiroshima City, I stop by Maruzen to pick up a book or the latest manga. There's pretty much something for everyone, and while it is strictly a bookstore (no CD's, movies, etc.) it's easy to spend hours there just browsing the huge selection. The only other bookstore nearby I can compare it to is Junkudo near Hiroshima Station. Check this place out.
