Such a lovely, homely hostel a stone's throw from Matsumoto castle. The building seems to be a house with a dorm room (or two?) with spacious bunks and a few private rooms. Loved just hanging out in the lounge, lots of card games and puzzles. The kitchen was well equipped, free laundry facilities from 9am-7pm. There's even a bench press and pull up bar plus free protein and oats (leave a donation ). There's also free bike hire. Only downside was I had a bunk adjacent to the patio and there was no curtain so it got bright really early and the pillow was very thin which made for a sore neck. Nonetheless I'd go back if I'm ever in Matsumoto!
This Hostel are one of the best I have ever been! Its a traditional Japanese house with beds and futons. The owner is super nice. He helped us a lot.
Great place to stay. Very close to Matsumoto Castle. Train stations in walking distance also. The hostel is small, but clean and comfortable. Very traditional style. Take-san is very friendly, and explained everything in check-in. They have bicycles for rent, which is a very convenient way of exploring the city.
Easily one of the best places I went to during my stay in Japan. Literally only a minute or two walking distance from the Historic Matsumoto Castle. They have free bikes for you to borrow, as well as umbrellas in case it rains. A workout area and beautiful little backyard to socialize in and hang your clothes. Laundry service, a full kitchen, and super comfortable beds made this place a dream! We met some very cool backpackers here and spent the whole night chatting, and the staff hung out as well! Yuki was extremely helpful! Buy one of the hand-drawn postcards and help support the business, you won't regret it. They gave us all the information we could ever need to make our trip memorable and exciting.
I do like the bed and how clean of the hostel. I love them shampoo a lot. It’s really good. Friendly staff. Close to Matsumoto Castle but not close to train station. We stayed 3 night. I feel like home.
Wonderful hostel, we really enjoyed our stay there! The room was really comfortable, the shared spaces are very clean. The owner speaks English really well and communication is easy. Lots of things to do both inside and outside the hostel! Close to the castle so really easy to go there for a nighttime stroll. We only stayed for a bit, but we enjoyed our stay there and I've been recommending it to all of my friends.
Really nice staff(English speaking), close to main attractions, clean rooms, free laundry/bicycles/coffee/tea etc.
