Loving."​ OUR FOUNDATION: Over its 50 year history, MeySen Academy has become one of Japan's premiere educational institutions specializing in early childhood development and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The standards of our management are rooted in the ethics and guiding principles of Christianity, though the school has no special affiliation with any denomination or religious organization. The expectations we have of MeySen students, teachers, and staff are based on the character principles of Christianity and our curriculum openly incorporates Biblical principles and values. About one third of the teaching staff plus all of the administrators are Christians. However, there is open and dynamic interaction among teachers, students, and parents of all faiths, enhancing the international teaching experience for our teachers.

MeySen Academy is an incredible place. The campus is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I have attended universities and schools all over the world. There are water falls and streams, rolling terrain, established woods, and even wildlife (the safe variety). They have a barn with horses, bunnies, goats, sheep, and lots of doves. In the spring, they often have animals with their babies, which the kids love! There are also more exotic animals around the campus, including chinchillas and chameleons! The facilities are well-maintained with an eye for ensuring a healthy learning environment, including lots of fun and challenging play equipment. Of course, when you add to that a staff passionate for children and quality education, who also clearly care about one another, and an administration who cares well for staff and families, MeySen truly is one-of-a-kind. I am so blessed to have encountered this incredible school!

MeySen is a warm and welcoming place. I have worked many jobs over the years and none can touch what is offered here at MeySen. The staff are wonderful to work with and to know as friends. The work environment is like no other. Having grown up in Montana it reminds me of the area around Kalispell and Whitefish. The beauty of the grounds is second to the exemplary learning experience the students get from both Japanese teachers and the English teaching staff. The history MeySen has here in the Sendai community is so wonderful and quite helpful at times. MeySen is willing to (and does) help its staff, students, the family of MeySen and the surrounding community it is in. I will be working here for many years!
