The campsite is good, the staff are kind. Even if we don't have reservations they let us in. But the toilet sucks. There's no shower room too. You can't see Mt. Fuji from this area.

I didn't visit the camping ground but the photo spot near it where you can get the view that inspired the painting of Mount Fuji on the 1000 yen bill.

Lovely location. Make sure you stock up with supplies at the shops just before you turn off the main road (about 14kms back towards the motorway from the campsite). That shopping area has everything you need: camping stuff, food etc. The campsite has far fewer annoying rules than other sites in the area. Open fires and fireworks are ok as long as you are safety conscious and care about other campers. Rubbish is collected every day at 12noon. Other sites require you take all your rubbish home with you. Great lakeside swimming with a little jetty that is great for the kids. Lake shelves very deep about 5metres out from the shore but once our kids knew that, they were careful not to stray too far out. Lots of other families there so everyone tends to look out for each other's kids. Washing-up facilities were fine. Hot showers for 100, for about 5mins. Take 100 coins with you but there is a shop and vending machines. We go every year. Lovely place to unwind, take some photos and enjoy the water

A hidden pearl in Japan, the favorite place for our family where we visit every summer. Love it that you can swim in the lake whole day, and unlike swimming in the sea, you don’t get any sticky sensation on the skin after bathing in the water.

Beautiful view on the lake and you can rent Kayaks and small boats on the site !
