This was brilliant! Never mind your tour buses and walking tours, this is the way to see Tokyo! I'd highly recommend you pay a bit extra to get the go pro, and please, please put on one of the outfits, it makes it so much fun and all the local kids will love you for it!

If you're a tourist and want to see a few different parts of Tokyo you may not do otherwise on your own, you should definitely do this. A great way to spend 2 hrs driving through various parts of Tokyo. Our guide was amazing even though he spoke limited English. He took us to several stops for picture opportunities. The driving route felt like a course from a Mariokart game!! You get to pick from an assortment of costumes and after a very brief guide on how to drive the go kart you're on your way. They do not waste time going through boring how to drive blah blah blah. This is where you really get the value as you will end up driving for about 90 minutes or more. So amazing!!!
EXPERIENCE OF A LIFE-TIME!!! If you are thinking about doing this, DO NOT hesitate! Just make sure you have applied for your International Drivers Permit from your home country before coming to Japan and to bring your Drivers license with you, as this is NEEDED. Honestly this experience exceeded all my expectations and so much more. I came with 3 friends and we just had so much fun from start to finish. Make sure you come 15-20 mins before your booking time, so you can decide what costume you want to wear, there are HEAPS and you might change your mind several times lol. The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with. Driving through the streets of Tokyo, especially through Shibuya, Harajuku, Ginza etc was such an incredible experience. Stopping at Red lights, you feel like a celebrity as many people will take photos and cheer you on. Just be cautious if you do this in winter like I did, driving at night was very very cold. So make sure you wear warm clothes or a thermal. Also dont forget gloves or a scarf as the wind really hits your hands and face.
Dont let the rating deter you. This is really fun and would do it again. It was raining and the guide recommended cancelling as didnt want to go out in rain. Said we were only entitled to a refund if WE cancel earlier, however it was HIM trying to cancel on us and it was only a light rain fall. Our 2 hr session we booked was cut to 35 minutes and there wasnt enough costumes. Everyone wants to go as a Mario character right after all it is advertised this way.... however there were none. Also a lot of the costumes were ripped or zips were broken etc
Best tourist trap ever. Gokarting around Tokyo dressed up as Mario Cart !! Takes you to all the cool picture spots and allows you to go full speed ahead on the best roads, extremely safe and worth every penny for the experience! It's a must for everyone going.
Amazing way to see the city! The Odaiba course is definitely the one to go on. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had to ask them a lot of questions and they were more than willing to help out. Highly recommended to bring some sort of sunglasses to protect your eyes though.
I hardly believe that this adventure is allowed! Great fun! Loved seeing Tokyo this way. It was a full 2 hours to enjoy.
