As my school year began and peers around me constantly talked about their SAT scores and university decisions, a significant amount of stress was added to what I had from school. After joining TA and speaking with my college counselor, who I have gotten to know really well, the stress inside of me slowly subsided as they guided me through my whole university process. My counselor gave me advice that helped me tremendously during the application process, and in my daily life. In addition, the assistance from my essay counselor and SAT tutor encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone, and allowed me to find confidence in myself! I am so excited about all of the universities that I got into, and can’t wait to attend my top choice in the fall! I will never forget the knowledge and the lessons I’ve learned at TA, and will forever be grateful for all of my tutors!

A huge thank you to everyone at TA! I first became a student in middle school, seeking help with Algebra II self-study, which was a lifesaver. The teachers are wonderful people - they care about their students immensely and really help you find what you’re passionate about. They get to know you as a person, and know that the right support for school/learning/college applications is not one-size-fits all. For me, this came in the form of encouraging me to take the SAT early, pursuing internships, finding ways to challenge myself, and figuring out what I want to major in. Beyond school subjects, their college/essay counseling services are top-notch, which helped keep me accountable to deadlines and communicate myself on the application. I’ll be attending my first-choice university in the fall. I’d recommend TA not just for people seeking support for their learning, but also to those who have ambitions at every end of the academic/extracurricular spectrum.
Our son is fluent in English but educated in Japanese elementary school. Our tutor is helping him improve reading and spelling in English. She is fun and patient and we have seen amazing improvement in just a few months!! She looks for content that she thinks would interest him and uses various activities to keep him engaged. I enthusiastically recommend Tokyo Academics! By working one-on-one, they are able to perfectly cater the lesson to our needs. The scheduling and billing is all very professional as well.
I am beyond grateful for all the guidance TA has given me. I have taken lessons mainly for my SAT practice and for college guidance, and I can confidently say that I would be in a very different place right now if it weren't for TA. All of the tutors there are such kind people, who care deeply about their students' success. The learning atmosphere at TA is also ideal, and is an amazing place for students to collaborate while having access to high caliber tutoring and mentoring. Thanks to the tutors I have had the pleasure of working with, and especially Tyler who gave me continued support during the college application process, I will be attending my first choice school from the fall. Ever since I first stepped into Tokyo Academics in my sophomore year of high school, I was overwhelmed with the positive learning environment as well as the amount of support the tutors provide students. The tutors at Tokyo Academics, which have also doubled as amazing role models, inspired me to to see importance of education and be passionate about learning. TA has pushed me beyond my comfort zone in every way, from helping navigate the often stressful and confusing atmosphere of high school, to giving me the platform, tools and confidence necessary to pursue my passions outside of traditional education. TA helped me find confidence in myself and my abilities, which 100% helped me stand out to college admission officers. Fantastic team! As a parent it’s critical to see in real time that those who are supporting our children’s academic success are dialed in to what’s needed in today’s diverse educational journey. We were delighted with how the TA team consistently supported us with specific courses, but also guided our children though broader learning achievements which will serve them for the rest of their lives! Tyler was especially helpful and was really available to help when help was most needed!
