We went to the Handcrafts Village by bus from Morioka Station in the early morning and stayed there until the late afternoon when it closed. My kids (17 and 10) loved this place a lot. They wanted to try everything and enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommended for family with kids!

Really cool place for different arts and crafts from the Iwate Prefecture.
A fantastic place with lots of workshops. You can make the cold noodles, colorize the scarf etc. It was really fun and you could spend a whole day on it!
Nice place to visit if you are in morioka , we been here on 2019/01/02 so almost closed and only one part was open even though it’s fun , we tried to cook Japanese peanuts osembe for 100 yen .
We didn't spend much time here but it's definitely a great place to buy local sake and shochu liquor. Also sells very nice wooden Japanese bowls and plates, and the famous nanbu tetsu ironware.
