A serene and tranquil nature spot for quiet walks and soaking in the beauty of the surrounding lake, islands and mountains in the distance. The occasional cloud blows in from the mountains and veils everything is a misty shroud before the sun breaks through again. Walking a little further along the park in the direction away from Toya Onsen brings you to a charming little island that is home to some ducks who launch into the water on your approach. The sound of birdsong and the lapping waves on the shores are lulling and relaxing.

Fun place to walk around for lake views or to enjoy the interesting sculpture garden. We walked around the park while waiting for our boat tour of the lake.

Due to tight schedule, did not spend too much time here. But already feel the comfortable environment here. I think I will re-visit here in the future, maybe in the winter?
