The history of Japan Railways. Before I was very curious how JapAn manage to be in the leads for railways. And in one place they explain it all. From the beginning until to this age of bullet trains exist. I like also how they sum up and collect all the different type of train and display in one place. How I wish my country was like this. Very convenient and efficient. Kudos to JapAn government for doing this kind of memorabilia and preserving the history.

I went here with a friend visiting from America, and I was impressed. We both thought it would be a quick trip through, but we ended up spending nearly the whole day here looking at trains. You can go inside some of the retired train cars (most of them, really), there are multiple exhibits on various aspects of JR trains and bullet trains, a whole room of model trains that run twice an hour, and they even had an English version of their ride experience that the lady offered to run for us. Lots of information, tons of trains and model trains, and there’s even a small cafe where you can buy ekiben themed foods. You can easily spend a whole day here if you like trains or history.
We visited Nagoya for a day to catch up with one of my sons schools friends who lives there with his family. After a delightful lunch they took us all to the JR Railway Park Museum. I have never see anything quiet like it. Even if your not a train buff it’s simply awesome and well worth a visit. The Kids loved it as well !
A cool place to visit in Nagoya. You will witness how trains evolved in Japan. You can also try simulations by paying additional fees or if you're lucky, there's a raffle draw for a free experience.
You can discover various historical and modern rolling stocks, locomotives and even MAGLEV of Japanese railway.
