Japan might not be best known for craft beer but Hitachino Nest Beer does account for a nice exception. The four kinds of beer I tried (IPA, Belgian style witbier, red rice beer, dark beer) were all top notch. To be fair, the IPA was among the best ones I have ever tried: hoppy, citrusy, yet piney and aromatic. The cute owl on the packaging also does its job to draw customers to this really good beer!

The most famous Japanese craft beer brewery. They run beer restraint in the states. But this their head office does not offer comfortable service. there no information about their beer. You can do only tasting. Shop staff don't offer any explain. So if you want to know their beer, please go to their beer pub in central Tokyo.
This is a really cool brewery to visit if you like beer or sake. They've been in business a long time, and the products are of excellent quality. Many of their beers are making it overseas these days, but it's cool to visit the source.
Great place to visit and dine. Good day trip from Toyko to the countryside Rail service is fast and an easy walk from the rail station. The beer and sake are amazing and fresh, Tap room, restaurant, and campus are very tradional yet functional. ️ Very beautiful, well put together, and welcoming environment. The tap room and souvenir shop is amazing. The bar has great A/C, beautiful simplisty, great wood work, and windows that over look the garden.️ The staff in the tap room is super cool with fast service. The restaurant experience is unforgettable. Only few menu items are prepared and cooked preday ensuring high standards.️ All of the menu items are amazing and traditional Japanese sourced with ingredients local to the area. The meals are a 2 or 3 course that pair well with the beer The restaurant gets busy so place your name on the wait list early. Great place to see with a few friends or that special someone
Fantastic tours of the sake and beer breweries! The staff is very friendly and informative! The quality of their hospitality is incredible, as well as the value of the tour. Also, it goes without saying, but their products are absolutely delicious! Although another review said it was not easy to access this brewery by train, that was not our experience. It was very easy for us to come here via train from Tokyo. There are easy-to-follow directions on their website, which can also be found in Google Maps.
