Huge shop full of candies, sweets and biscuits, from Japan but also many other countries. The biggest shop of this kind I have seen in Japan, and the only I have seen that sells certain foreign brands. Prices are good - a bit more expensive for foreign products than Japanese ones, of course. Fun fact: it's located under a temple, near Ame Yoko in Ueno.

Everytime I come to Ameya, this is a must, pit stop. There's another nearby store that attracts a queue but this place is still the best so far. You gonna try it yourself. 4 flavours (traditiinal, teriyaki, cheese, wasabi) but I still love the traditional taste best.

Best spot to buy your omiyage for family and friends before your return trip home. Huge variety of the most popular snacks. At the rear of the shop you're allowed to purchase tax free if have a passport and on a temporary visitor visa.
