Does what a gondola does. Is moderately fast and provides nice views of the mountains around.

I came at the end of Dec 2020 so not many people here during the pandemic. Most of the restaurants are closed on the slopes. The snow is good though. The restaurant Uchida by the base is terrible. I ordered the katsu sauce bowl but it was like eating chicken nuggets with too much sauce on the rice.

Nice, kids' friendly resort. Not too many barless chair lifts. There are 2 quite important for transferring. The rest was good. Reasonable price for an adult kid discounted ticket. JPY 5600. Bit pricey food on the slopes.

What a fabulous ski resort. Great value. Authentic Japanese experience fantastic snow. Good ski lifts. I could only gripe is that there are a few traverses for the uninitiated. But once you get the hang of it. It’s a fabulous place. Compared to Aus. NZ. USA. It’s amazing value for money. There are literally dozens of places for lunch. The restaurants and cafes are friendly. And the lines are short or non existent. I cannot wait to go back. Ohh did I mention the town has free onsen which are also brilliant.
