Nuclear power plant that sustained severe damage from 2011 tsunami. There were no radiation leaks similar to Fukushima. The area around the plant was devastated. The Tohoku area of Japan is historically the location of Japan's strongest earthquakes so this plant should be closed for good (along with Rokoshomura a little further north).

Great place, it as the closest Nuclear plant to the 2011 earthquake and yet got no damage ! Sources said that it will restart in 2021 finally .

福島であんな大事故があってもまだやろうとしている人としてどうなの？ 町にが入るからしたんでしょうけど他の市町村はいい迷惑です。避難計画が最悪 なのに結局最後は誰も責任取れないでしょう。今の子供達、今から生まれてくる子供達の事も考えて大人は行動してほしい‼️
柏崎刈羽原発と違って一般向けの定期的な構内見学を開催していないようです。再稼働の折には原子炉建屋内の見学も再開して頂ければと思います。
ここの原発を残すことで後世の宮城県民が故郷を捨てざるを得ない未来がいずれ来るだろうな。
