yes，I think the view is wonderful. But there are too many bugs in the room. It is terrible,over 30s, there are still too many in the light cover. If you want to change the room?ok，you should pay for the extra fee I will never come back here again. Impatient and tough staff \u200d️

Great hotel. Though it's not in the village itself, but they have shuttle bus between the village and the hotel. But check out the timing and make the booking before hands. Love the 4 course dinner provided and the buffet breakfast.
Great experience and eco friendly lodging. You can see the jungle and mountains from your room. French cuisine (洋食) is served instead of standard Japanese meal (和食).
Quiet and peaceful place to get away from city life. They have an onsen bath to help relax more. The dinner was nice too.
good for one night. They provide field trip to learn about wildlife. Food is ok but could be improved. Room are more like hostel.
We were there at the end of Dec. The weather wasn't good and no forest walk for us, so we didn't get to experience the nature part of it. The fine dining was great, if you are a foodie!
Stayed from 14 - 16 March 2019. We were lucky as Shirakawago's tourist centre staff managed to get us accomodation here when we were caught out in a sudden heavy snow. Take note that the location is up in a hill, away from main village but the resort offers a free hotel shuttle van service.... but giving great views going to or leavuming the resort. The hotel staff is not 100% fluent in English, they have Pocketalk device but they were 100% helpful to us. Rent snow boots from them for free, makes it much easier and fun to walk in snow! They have umbrellas to rent out too. Dont forget to head to their little musuem on the eco habitat and indoor family snow park, we discovered it too late! Although we had a great 15mins of fun! You need to embrace onsen culture here as there is no attached shower to the room. Toiletries and hairdryer are provided in the onsen. We will never forget our outdoor onsen experience... running in gleefully... with snow built up on on the rocks around us and snow falling gently on our faces as we soaked in the hot water goodness our 4 person room was adequate. You can use self service coin laundry and dryer machine. They serve only western meal for breakfast and it was delicious. Thank you to the staff of Toyota Eco institute! We had a great stay and hopefully we'll be back again in summer to explore eco habitats!
