I went to Ponipirika quite a few times in the past and the place always has a nice vibe and decent soup curry. The soup is a bit on the thin side but it’s still flavorful and there are different stocks to choose from as well as toppings. Enjoy!

A really good soup curry place. Inside is very cosy and staff are friendly. You pick your main dish and then choose your soup, spice level and add any extras you want. You order using a order form! A little bit more expensive than other soup curry places but very delicious!
If in the area, definitely try this place. A friend recommended it and did not disappoint. A different curry from what you expect when in Japan, though highly recommend

I'd rate this 3.5 because i prefer Cocoro, which i rated 4 stars. The curry here really depends on what soup base you order. We had a tomato base and prawn base. Both were so distinct from each other it's like they were from different stores. The tomato base, though delicious, was a bit too sweet and sour for a curry and the prawn base was almost like a prawn bisque, which is really tasty already. The toppings are well prepared but not particularly outstanding. The crispy skin on the chicken is a nice touch and free rice refills will make hungry eaters fulfilled. The restaurant decor is cozy, ethnic-themed artsy and relaxing. For now, this is my 2nd place for soup curry in Shimo.
