Authentic. New York-Style. Pizza. No other place in Tokyo comes close. You owe it to yourself to go here.

I used to be a student downtown NYC, meaning I used to live on pizza. What they serve here is definitely NOT NY style. Their slice was so small and I felt hungry two hours later. NO. Not for me. Dough has to be softer, crust has to be thinner, size have to be bigger. NY style pizza is to be fold in half to be eaten. Watch the movie "Along Came Polly". If the pizza cannot be eaten in the way Philip Seymour Hoffman does, that is not in NY style. The size is really important because it has to fuel New Yorkers for late night activities, feed broke students, struggling artists, and workers.

Pizza in Japan is usually very strange, it isn't Italian not is it New York style. I shudder to think what Japanese would do with Chicago Style deep-dish. Rocco's is the only real legitimate New York style pizza I've had in Japan. The place is small but the food is good and the owner is polite and speaks English. If you really want NYC style pizza in Tokyo take a short trip to Rocco's

Very good pizza. Good pricing and some beers. It is a trek from central Tokyo but this is definitely one of the better NY slices in the city. Recommended

Spent 2000 yen of transportation fee to get to Rocco's from Chiba, after a brief research on the best pizza place in the city, and I must say it was completely worth it! This place will put the 3 most known delivery style pizza shops to a shame and can honestly dominate almost all private pizzeria around. Easily the best New York Style Pizza you can eat in Tokyo or maybe in Japan. Medium size of Quarter with NY Classic, Pepperoni, Hawaiian and Mexican. Their medium size is equivalent to the large size of other shops (mainly delivery franchises) being 36cm, and large size is 46cm. Each tasted very good, authentically hand made with perfect quantity of ingredients and cheese. Usually I never eat the classic (or the standard) pizza in other places as I never find them worth the money given how they taste, but oh boy, Rocco's classic gave me the best experience. Hawaiian with excellent quality of Pineapples, very juicy and sweat, literally melts in your mouth. My girlfriend loved the Mexican pizza, and I must say Pepperoni here is the closest you can get if you are used to the one in the US. Definitely will go again, once again easily one of the best Pizzas I had in my life.

*UPDATE (read below-response to the owner) Absolutely NOT New York style pizza. When I first tried it 8-9 years ago, it was a decent slice. Second time I ate there, was given/ate an old and ridiculously hard cardboard-like slice (horrible). The third time (recently-9/2020), I’ve realized it has totally fell off and has changed into some low quality frozen supermarket pizza. Did you change ownership?? You should be ashamed of yourselves to call it New York Style. You are cheating your customers. *Allow me to respond and explain myself. 1)The reason why I said the reviews were erased is because I have made a review here before (very early on) and it suddenly isn’t there anymore. Perhaps it was an old one that was somewhere deleted. Okay, I will give you the benefit of the doubt here, so I’ll erase that. 2) I DO stand by my review by saying the last two times were not up to par with the 1st. My jaw literally were sore from chewing so hard. Perhaps I got unlucky was given a slice that was sitting around for a while. The last time, the size of the slice was definitely NOT a NY slice size (it was smaller) and the dough was so off. Either the dough wasn’t proofed long enough or it wasn’t fully cooked. The dough was flat with not much texture. 3) I’m sorry to hear about the death of the husband. When I first visited there 9 years ago, he was very welcoming and even made me a fresh pie because I mentioned I was from New York (I’ve never had a problem with your service as it was quite good). My apologies for the harsh review and the part about “cheating your customers” may be overly dramatic. However, my overall feedback is almost entirely based on the actually product served to me during the last 2 occasions.

Good NY style pizza! The slices are huge! You can buy by the slice or whole. They also have some US bottled beer. The atmosphere reminded me of pizza places in NY/NJ. Good job guys!
