It's a nice hotel with a lot of interesting shops. If you're skiing be aware that they don't have a boot technician if you have any problems. I asked about the closest place to buy diapers and baby food, but they will only recommend their gift shop as it has some diapers and baby food. There's a bus that takes you to a pharmacy across the way and it has baby food and diapers for a much more reasonable price. Breakfast ends at 9 for everything but the Japanese options so if you get up late I hope that you like fish for breakfast. Loved the beds as they were some of the most comfortable that we've slept on in Japan.

This is the first time I went skiing in Hokkaido and first time to experience powder snow! Way much better than most of the ski resorts I’ve been to in Honshu Island.
Great location right next to the ski slopes in winter and the amusement park in summer. Kids and adults will really enjoy their time here.
Just like a six flags but in Japan. We went before Natsu yasumi (summer break) so there were no one around. There were some older kids but my kids were able to go on ride after ride. Many nice roller coasters. The swim park was closed. Check the rides to see which are open and closed. You can look at them on a tv when you first walk in. Go up on the gondola. The views are stunning.
Best ski resort in Hokkaido with warm hospitality, great food, great shopping & fun places! Altho it is only 2 days of short trip but had so much fun for great memories! Amazing trip! Will definitely bring my family back here next time. I'm sure Kids will love it here too! ️️ Thank you so much for making me feel like home The Westin Rusutsu Team! ️️
The hotel and the theme park, Rusutsu Ski Resort is run by Kamori group, and Westin next doors is in partnership as well. Lots of shops/restaurants/cafes inside the building, so accomodation/entertainment/food all completes within the resot. Rated Best ski resort in Japan 2 years in a row by World Ski Awards! There is a monorail that links it to Westin side as well.
Great place to hang out when using the ski area on West mountain. Used to stay but a bit too expensive these days
