Friendly staff, great environment to take a break while visiting the campus of Hokkaido University. You can also get some souvenirs of the campus. Or simply enjoy a nice coffee with some cookies or a small snack, I recommend Okaki (rice crackers). The best season is autumn, as you can drink your coffee on the terrace enjoying the mild weather.

An information center and Elm Forest Shop - part of the building is dedicated to future students who are interested in Hokkaido University - there are lots of information and pamphlets of different academic programs offered by the university. Part of the center offers university-branded items such as tee shirts, cookies, sake, stationary, etc. it also has a mini cafe. The center and shop is located right across of the Administration Building right by the entrance gate.
