In the Kanazawa Castle Park if one walked along its perimeter you would arrive at a beautiful lush area with several Statues n sculptures. One of these Statues is that of the Daimyo Toshiie Maeda- who during his era was the second most powerful Daimyo in Japan (the Tokugawa Shogun being the strongest). His family the Maeda family ruled from the Kanazawa Castle for approximately 300 years. Toshiie Maeda also played a pivotal role in many battles especially in the battle of Suemori Castle. Indeed he was known as a leading general under Toyotomi Hideyori. This statue erected in the lush surroundings is a tribute to him as one of the greatest Daimyo of Kanazawa Castle.

戦国武将前田利家の銅像。交差点わきにあるので見逃し注意。
