There are many nice pizzeria in Tokyo. Many are delicious. But the best is this one, no doubt. The crust is soft and light, ingredients are fresh and high quality. The atmosphere is pleasant, with Italian atmosphere, soft music, friendly staff and big windows.
Best Italian restaurant in Tokyo. As an Italian in Japan, I always feel at home. Not only the food is great, the most precious thing that Peppe provides is true hospitality.
Okay I know it's a well known, popular place.. don't know why but didn't like it that much. Starter was a good volume for a very reasonable price but didn't taste great. Much of it wasn't freshly cooked either... Pizza looked great but tasted super average. The guy doing pizza is owner and very popular guy, not sure how but my pizza wasn't great. All ingredients were as mentioned but no special taste. Dessert won't complain much but want to say that didn't like it - could be just my problem. It was probably for italian tongue. Don't know... But didn't like either the pistachio gelato or the hazel nuts cake. Just average food.
We love that so much we came back twice in a row. The sparkling wine was good. Pizza is delicious. The staff is really nice and accommodating but not stuffy. It's a really special place in the midst of busy Setagaya.
