What a great place! The lady who owns the store is super friendly. Her husband was an expert knife maker. She takes her time and shows you the different knives and recommends if you tell her what the knife will be used for. Please do NOT negotiate with her. We shopped around and her prices are already excellent and she is very sweet. A great place to make a visit to as she is at the end of the indoor mall area in Nara and close to all the attractions.

ここで3本目の包丁買いました。 1本目は自分用 2本目は最初に結婚した息子の家族用 3本目は次に結婚する息子の家族用 店主のおじいさんが亡くなられて 今は奥様がお店を守っていられます。
マイ包丁(出刃、柳)の研ぎに 今は外注されてます。
