I have stayed here three times. This is one of the best locations in Nozawa, just a stones throw from the Godola and great views over the ski jump course. Only a few minutes from free onsens and the great Spa Arena. The rooms are fine and spacious enough, try the futons as the matresses were asian western style when we used them once and they are like wood. Share bathrooms can be a bit of a wait but otherwise fine. Breakfast is a simple cooked affair plus some continental options so enough to get you started. The lounge has a great view over the Ski Jump area. The live in worker hosts vary so we have had the best in the business and the worst. Would still go back when COVID clears.

Awesome place to stay while you are here! Great staff here who makes you feel right at home. Location could not be better. Super close the the slopes and all the great food. Highly recommend Schanze if you are here!!
Great position - only 100m from the Nagasaka gondola. Keyless entry to lodge and rooms is super easy. Friendly staff who speak GOOD English.

Great accommodation. It's so close to the gondola. Service was really good. The managers are very helpful and accommodating. Drying room is good so all your stuff is good to go the next day. Room was a traditional Japanese room with tatami mats and futons, however it has a nice functional ensuite good room heating and nice pillows. I would recommend they add a high level shelf in the room and some block out blinds but that is the only criticism I have. Breakfast was nice. I recommend purchasing the optional breakfast as it's one less thing to do before you hit the slopes, and it was always a good quality meal. Snowboarding here is fantastic. The mountain is awesome and this venue is basically ski in/ski out.
Great place to stay in Nozawa, hosts were extremely helpful for our stay, helping us get to some amazing places during some of our rest days from the slopes. Location is perfect for skiing/boarding - 1 minute stroll up the hill to the main gondala. We would absolutely stay here again. Misume? (sorry if thats wrong!) and Glen really helped make our trip special (even giving us japanese notes to give to shopkeepers so they knew exactly what special local dish to serve us!) Breakfasts in the morning were delicious and home cooked - some days traditional and some days more western but always fresh and a great way to start the day, saving you from having to go out in the cold to find something. Accommodation itself was very clean, cozy and warm, looking out towards the ski jumps with the High school (!!!) kids launching off the largest ski jump so effortlessly was great entertainment too during morning breakfast. Very comfortable rooms with traditional futon bedding. Breakfast varies depending on the day but is always delicious and well cooked. The hotel is recently renovated and has a modern feel. It has 3 shared bathrooms with attached showers. I found the Wi-Fi to be fast.
