It is a long-established tempura shop. I stopped by for lunch after a long absence. With beer. This style is the performance that you can fry in front of you. They always serve dishes with a stable taste.

Went for lunch. Menu was simple and staff was very helpful. Being an ignorant Westerner, I had some trouble figuring out how to eat all the different components of the meal correctly. the staff was happy to help albeit a little amused by my questions. Most importantly the tempura was amazing, highly recommend.

This is one of the most expensive meal I ever had in my entire life... I ever had in Japan it's very much popular and a highly recommended restaurant in Shinjuku. Its amazing historical foundation in 1923 caught my attention so I asked my friends if they like to try.. Unfortunately, the price wasn't a joke. This was our last meal in Tokyo so might as well have a blast - The meal was very good, the tempura was very tasty and not oily. I'm also including their cute server in this rating (probably, he's one of the owner's son/grandson)

Tried the tempura zen set. Contrary to other reviews, i find them very helpful to foreigners. Do not film tho. They even gave the eating guide (see pic) 3 ways of eating tempura i definitely did not know. The last dish of the fried prawn bits were awesome. Recommend trying it.

We’re lucky enough to come as a place opened in front of the chefs! Got to sit at the bar (there is also table service areas) and watch the masters. Tempura set delicious, and have recommended all my friends to visit. Batter is light without being oily or greasy, and staff are lovely (and pleasant to foreigners)
