Singapore Bak Kut Teh place that's surprisingly authentic. Only wished the rib meat was more tender.

Don't be fooled by the signboard! The taste is non like Singapore Bak Ku Teh......way too much pepper. Not worth the price!

Really casual place that you can dine for very cheap. I wish they would expand this to other areas around Tokyo. The broth is a bit spicy but in a good way. The rice and broth is all-you-can-eat. I wish there were more stuff on the menu, like dessert (they didn’t have any dessert food).

There are 2 versions of Bak Kut Teh, the white soup based, or the dark soup based. This restaurant serves the white soup base (which has a stronger pepper taste compared with the black soup base) that is pretty spot on in taste and flavor. Overall, a good choice for lunch as the servings is relatively small, even though you can get complimentary soup and rice refills. Would love to see the menu expand to include more offerings in future.

This is just... a really bad imitation of bak kut teh in Singapore. The soup isn't sufficiently peppery, no chilli is provided in the side, and the meat isn't cooked until it's tender. All for a pretty handsome sum. I'd skip.

*** Best Singapore-styled Bak Kut Teh place in Tokyo *** There actually are few places in Tokyo where you can enjoy good Bak Kut Teh (肉骨茶) though, this restaurant, simply and directly named "Singapore Bak Kut Teh", is one of the best. Here you'll enjoy a Singapore-styled Bak Kut Teh, spicier with black pepper and onion compared to Malaysia-styled one, at around 1,100 JPY for lunch. The venue is very near Akasaka Subway Station and along the Akasaka-dori Avenue. Use Exit #7 at Akasaka Sta., and walk to the right way for a couple of minutes. If you prefer Malaysian one, you must go to A1 Bak Kut Teh in Jujo.

The Bak Kut Teh itself is OK (not comparing to a Malaysian's), except it is a little too salty and I am not sure if the 春菊 is a good choice as a side. I wouldn't mind going back again, as the service is really good.

Doesn't taste 100% like bak kut teh but it's still an interesting and delicious interpretation!
