Ask for Shuto-san, she's the best!! Hands down the best service I've received from any bank in Japan as a foreigner. Her English is excellent and I had no trouble communicating my needs at all, she listened very carefully and made sure to address every single concern. I can't wait to go back for more excellent service!!

Excellent English speaking service targeted at foreigners. There are some Japanese peculiarities, as mentioned by other reviewers, but I don’t think these are unique to PRESTIA. If opening an account, make sure that you get an OTP device, or you won’t be able to set up new domestic payments online.

Former Citybank, with good English speaker staff. The staff is obviously train to meet foreigners expectations. Easy to open bank account and get credit card, including the ETC card for highways. SMBC bought Citybank Japan about 2 years ago, so not how it is now for new customers. They provide email and paper, in English, monthly summary. Phone customer service is also in English.

Banking hours not considerate of business hour workers. No longer open Saturday and closes at 3:00pm weekdays.

Went there this hot Saturday morning and was told the branch is closed for a week. Nothing was mentioned on the website.

No ATMs after the merger with SMBC. Only ATM functions are deposit and withdrawal. Few branches with poor hours.

It’s a shame they stopped Sat banking services, I guess it’s a matter of time before there will be no more branches at all!
