Must try No.1 Tempura Tendon if you are around Asakusa. We used to visit other Tendon place in Asakusa, and this time we looked for something new. We found this place from google map and the restaurant located at the dead end of an alley. I would say this is the best Tendon we had so far. Very delicious and the seafood were very fresh. When we arrived, we were told that the restaurant only served 1 kind of Tendon which was Seafood Tendon (3800) and the Miso Soup is an option with additional charge(200). The Tendon is expensive than other places nearby but if you looked at what ingredients they were using, the you would know the reason they charge such price. The restaurant is very small for around 15 seats and only have 2 server and a chef. And they only served lunch starting from 11am until 2.30pm (until the tendon sold out which ever the earliest) Tips: English menu available. Either go before the restaurant opened or after 1pm to avoid the long queue.

Not just good, is absolute best. Who will use top grade Kuruma Ebi to make Ten Don these days? As soon as having a bite with the prawn at start, you will know the difference.

Masaru was a great experience. We arrived about 10 minutes before opening. There are chairs outside to wait and we were among the first seated when they opened. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. There were 4 tempura bowl over rice (tendon) sets available for lunch and a full English menu is available. The most popular are the set with 4 prawns and the mixed set. The mixed set contains 1 prawn, 2 fish, and 1 eel. I would strongly advise getting the mixed set even if you're not a big fish eater. The fish was fresh and crispy. The prawn was huge as well. At 200 yen, it's a no brainer to add on miso soup as a side. It is pricey coming in at around 90000 yen for 2 people. It was well worth the experience. We've had tempura at different places in Tokyo and this far surpasses those experiences.
