My main problem with this place is the location on a somewhat steep hill. It's pretty annoying having to go up and down a hill every time you go out. Oh, and the rooms have a smell to them...it's not a bad smell like sewage, I'm not sure what it is. After two days I didn't notice it anymore. However, maybe this was just because this was during the coronavirus epidemic, but I paid 2,500 yen a night to have a 3-person Japanese-style room with tatami mats and air conditioning all to myself, which was kind of a steal. You're more or less living a house (with a lock for your own door, the front door remaining unlocked) and it's quite comfy. The location is right beside the old town which is nice. The owner is friendly and can be helpful, but he's not around all the time. Shower and toilets are good and overall the place is very clean. Washer available (300 yen at time of writing) but no dryer (you can hang stuff outside). Kitchen didn't look great but I never planned on using it.

Great location close to the center, if you don't mind a little hill climbing. Friendly owner with a good English communication. Bedroom can be a little cold, and heater smells like ethanol. But overall good place to stay a few days.

La casa muy linda, limpia y calefaccionada. El cuarto súper tradicional y la cama muy cómoda para ser futon. Está a 20 minutos caminando desde la estación pero cerca del centro comercial. Algo muy importante para destacar es que el dueño habla inglés y japonés.
언덕을 올라가야하고...창밖으로 보이는 전망이 좋음. 현관문을 기본적으로 잠가놓지않기때문에 겁날때가있고, 가끔 다른 게스트가 문을 먼저 잠가버리면 나는 못들어가는 일이 일어남. 방에 히터가 있는데 이 히터는 연료가 등유(...)인듯함. 1시간 지나면 자동으로 꺼짐. 그래서 새벽에 추위에 떨며 깨곤함. 에어컨 없어서 여름되면 더운것도 문제일듯...아무리 일본이 안전해도 범죄는 있을거고... 문단속 제대로 안되는 숙소는 범죄의 대상이 되기에 딱 좋다고생각함. 남녀불문 혼행하시는분들은 피하시길 바람. 어르신이나 어린아이 동반여행하시는분도 피하시길...️(냉난방 잘 안되니까..)
