Always lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I am not a huge fan of zoo's and captivity but it's a nice area and place to go for a walk. I highly recommend the bug section thought!!!

So much bigger than Ueno zoo and so many animals! If you want to visit all the parts you’d better arrive at the time they open in the morning. We missed insectarium, need to go again.. Also due to COVID they are only open to reserved visitors now(Nov, 2020), but the reservation is very easy to do online.

Zoo is a good place to discover animal word but somehow I still feel sorry for them could not to live in their natural home. This zoo is on a high place (like a hill or mountain?) So you should go there early in the morning because of the heat, you'll easily feel tired from hiking, and from wearing mask during summer and Corona.

Expansive zoo with a variety of animals. Be prepared to walk around hills to experience the entire park. There’s a lot of construction happening when we went to expand the elephant exhibit and many other areas. It was a wonderful experience. They have Tasmanian devils here!!! The giraffes are a must see as there’s many to see. The cafe is excellent quality food.

Nice zoo for Japan, easy to access for central Tokyo. It's cheap (kids under 12 go for free), and as plenty of picnic space (food and drinks are overpriced, bring your own). Educational though animal enclosures could be upgraded to look more natural (ie like Singapore's). Small enough to be enjoyed in half a day.
