A lovely English garden with heaps of plants and trees and shrubs in a beautiful location. There is an Alice in Wonderland garden a perfect setting for photo ops, a Rose Garden, A Bakery, Boutique and a Cafe. It was a pleasant change from the structured Japanese Garden with severe pruning and rock arrangements. Located in the Tateshina Highlands it’s a pleasant space to spend some time and wander around especially during the spring and summer months.

Glad we only paid the lower winter price, even in full bloom in summer the garden it to small to the cost of the entry ticket. I am sure that the garden is very different to many other open gardens in Japan, and is a unique experience. We did not use the cafe, although had planned to due to a coach tour taking too long to be served.

小さいですが素晴らしいイングリッシュガーデンです。創設者の方が30年かけてじっくりと育んできた庭だそうです。 併設のカフェで食べたアフタヌーンティーセットは特におすすめです。サンドイッチの具材が、チーズはスライスチーズなどではなく本物のナチュラルチーズ(おそらくゴーダ中心のもの？)、スモークサーモンもアトランティックサーモンだったように思います。ラベンダー風味のスコーンやショートブレッドはここでしか食べられないかも。クロテッドクリームも最高のものだったと思います。これで1800円は、正直安いです。

冬は花も緑もない庭です。200円でお庭に入れます。 シンメトリーのイングリッシュガーデンではなく田舎風ですね。 クリスマスの飾りがまだありました。 クリスマスはそれなりに良かったんだろうな… アップルパイが美味しそうだったので食べました。皮付きりんごで作っているようです。美味しくいただきました。 個人的にブティックの雰囲気が好きです。 植物の寄せ植えもかわいかった。 過剰に話しかけて来られる場所とそうでない場所の差がすごいw カフェの音楽がずっと同じオペラ曲なのが気になりますw お正月限定で紅茶を１杯いただけました。

ガーデニングファンの聖地。 ガーデニングに興味ある人には花のない時期も参考になるところが沢山ありそれなりに楽しめる。 ガーデニングに興味がない人は花の時期を選んだ方がいい。 全国各地の有数のナーセリーから花が集まるので他ではなかなか見られない珍しい植物も多い。バラクラの名を汚さないようよく管理手入れされているが花を抜き替えだけしているところも多々あり興醒めする部分もある。ターシャチューダーの庭ファンはメインエリアより宿根草の多い端のエリアの方が楽しめるかもしれない。 カフェやショップは観光地的だが他ではなかなか見かけることができないものも多々ある。値段は観光地価格。
