Beautiful. The water is a glacial emerald blue. The rock formations are really lively as well. In summer you could probably dip your feet in the water. However, some part of the trail is sealed off and you can only go up to a certain point. Its a lovely place for hikers and nature livers to go to. Even beginner hikers can easily tackle this trail.

Walk along the river from Hatonosu to Shiromaru dam takes around 1 hour. Don’t forget to take some stops to enjoy the fresh air or even enjoy some snacks. It’s easy track even you just casually walk.

Nice walking trails along the river ! (Please note that from Shiromaru dam toward okutama the path is closed until March 27 2021).

Lovely nature view and not yet popular enough to see the crowds. Great for a day trip.

Toshinari Sato

Had a relaxing holiday in Hatonosu Valley where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It took more than 2 hours from the center of Tokyo but I guess it's worth it.
