Good dormitory for Tokyo students where facility places are available for BBQ, pentaball, tennis table, gym etc.

Excellent accommodation. Building C units are very large but a bit old. You can see the Yurikamome train from the balcony. On a good day Fuji mountain is visible. A bit expensive but superb... if you have lived here you are very lucky.

Tokyo International Exchange Center is a dorm for international students studying in the universities in Tokyo. They have four buildings A to D. A and B are for single occupants while the C and D buildings are for families. Although the buildings are old by Japanese standards, it is relatively cheap. They have a lot of common facilities you can enjoy for free like the common kitchen room, the training room, and the gymnasium. Since it is a cheap place with great amenities, getting in is tricky and there is a long waiting list. The utilities can also get a bit expensive because of the location but if you are smart, you can save a ton. This is not advisable for students who hail from universities far from Odaiba since it uses Yurikamome line as its main artery. Yurikamome is quite expensive. Additionally, JASSO (the admin of TIEC) offers a lot of free activities and parties for the residents. They also offer amazing trips for the residents, usually on a lottery basis. The main drawback though is that some units are not well maintained or the previous owners were s#t so getting a good room is some sort of a Russian roullette.

The best place to live for a grad student in Tokyo! Been my home for more than a year now. The people are amazing and the place is a bliss. Thank you JASSO and TIEC people for making it an amazing experience!
